Why PIP is important for you?
PIP or Personal Injury Protection is an important insurance coverage which provides coverage medical and other expenses in case of an auto accident regardless whose fault it is.
PIP insurance is a no fault insurance which is essentially an extension of car insurance. While some states require PIP insurance, it is not mandatory in all states. PIP insurance covers medical expenses and expenses like wage loss and funeral expenses for the person carrying the auto insurance. If you carry PIP insurance and are injured in an auto accident, then you are eligible to receive the benefits up to the maximum amount carried regardless of whether or not the accident was your fault.
Under PIP, the insurance company has to pay out the expenses without first determining the part at fault. This makes PIP a no-fault insurance and there is no need to file lawsuits to find out culpable party to get coverage.

PIP insurance covers other expenses apart from medical bills depending on your state. Generally, PIP insurance also covers lost wages, lawn maintenance, mileage to and from medical appointments and procedures, and other expenses brought about by the injured party’s inability to do the things he or she used to be able to do. Coverage amount also varies from state to state but the average amount is $10,000 per injury per accident.
